How to Remove Tonsil Stones at Home - The Two Most Effective and Safest Tools
I've written before on this topic about a tool that works wonders when cleaning the tonsil pockets. I thought that I expand this topic and list a few other tools that many sufferers from tonsil stones use to dislodge and remove tonsil stones.
You probably already know about removing stones with a cotton swab or q-tip so I wont talk about it here. See the video below if you want to learn how to use that tool.
Now, there is also an excellent tool that you can use to clean your tonsils and remove every type of particle and waste product. It's called a waterpik and you can read more about it by following the link below.

On this page you will find out how to use a waterpik to flush out tonsil stones. Quick and effective.
A waterpik will not upset your gagging reflex as much as a q-tip/cotton swab and it is more effective. However, if you have bigger stones that goes deep inside your tonsil crypts you may have to use other tools to get them out. However, be sure that you are careful to not damage the tissues of the tonsils as they can become infected or swollen.
A good tool that does this is something called a dental pick/oral irrigator or gum stimulator. It has many names and comes in different designs. My recommendation is to use those that do not have a metal tip but instead have rubber or other similar material. The tools with a sharp metal tip are designed to remove hardened material from your teeth and may damage your tonsils if you aren't careful.
You use this tool the same way you use a q-tip, but it is longer and has better grip. It's much easier to remove stones with this tool than a q-tip. For larger stones that even the waterpik can't handle, the gum stimulator is a very good compliment.
